There have been a lot of movies by Disney and other big companies for children. I rarely go to the movie theater to watch movies anymore, but I do enjoy renting a good movie on the weekend and watching it at home. I especially like to watch the children’s movies, but I have no desire to go to a theater with 300 screaming, crying brats all around me while I try to watch a movie. I like kids, but not other people’s spoiled kids. That’s not entertainment to me – that’s torture. LOL
Last night I wanted something to drink but I didn’t want milk and I didn’t want anything carbonated. I decided to fix a nice cup of hot tea.
When I was a little girl, my mother would make tea for herself and a good friend, and sit on the front porch sipping tea and gossiping or talking about kids and sharing child raising tips. I just realized that is something that I’ve never done. But maybe I should!

Do you remember watching Bozo on TV? There used to be a Saturday morning show for children, featuring Bozo the Clown. He would just say a couple of cute or funny lines and then show a cartoon, like Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner, Popeye, etc. It was a harmless way for children to be entertained in the morning while Mom and Dad took are of household chores.
My youngest son was just diagnosed with ADHD. Now it makes sense why he was acting like he was. I also have it and decided to check out adhd treatment for not only him but for me too. It’s been a long time since I was diagnosed and my mother would not put me on the meds they had back then. They have much better meds now so maybe I need to see what will help me too.
Children are something, aren’t they?
Posted by Alicia on Thursday Oct 8, 2009 Under Family, Life, faith, parentingBoy I tell you what, children are something, aren’t they? My children are the light of my life and my whole world but there are times when I wonder just what the heck I was thinking? You know what I mean? When they’re all running all over the house, that’s one of the main times I wonder that. Then there are the times when they’re hugging me and telling me how much they love me and then I thank God for every single second with them.
